Better lighting and a delivery.

Today I went back to the house to get some photos of the cabinets with a little better lighting. I actually got a photo of one of the cabinets that shows the true "Java" color. I can't wait to see what the granite looks like installed!

We can change from an "in progress" to a "complete" for the cabinets.

  • Grading and site preparation
  • Foundation construction
  • Framing
  • Installation of windows and doors
  • Roofing
  • Siding
  • Rough Electrical
  • Rough Plumbing
  • Rough HVAC
  • Insulation
  • Drywall
  • Texturing
  • Trim
  • Tile
  • Painting
  • Finish electrical
  • Bathroom and kitchen cabinets
  • Counter installation (ordered)
  • Finish plumbing
  • Wood floor installation
  • Carpet installation
  • Finish HVAC
  • Hookup to water main, or well drilling
  • Hookup to sewer or installation of a septic system
  • Final walk - through (October 14, 2013)

  • This is the cabinet in the boys' bathroom, there is no natural light in there so it is kind of cruddy looking.

We also got a delivery: trim, spindles, and railing!

A picture of the doors with better lighting! This is our door from our garage to the inside of our house!

Then I decided to take a poll from my Facebook friends about what shape kitchen table we were going to get... here is the photo:

    And here are the results...

Only one more vote for a square table. But.... it does not count my vote... which technically will tie it since I was leaning towards round. Like many of my Facebook friends stated, everything else in the kitchen is rectangle and the round breaks up the sharp edges nicely.

What do all of your bloggers out there think? Round, square, no difference?
