Aiden: First Day of Second Grade

I have been terrible at blogging lately. Or for a long time actually. We have been in the midst of finishing our basement which is pretty amazing. We love having an extra place to hang out while the upstairs stays much cleaner! We added another bedroom (which is really a playroom) and bathroom, a bar, and another family room to our home. Besides on less than amazing contractor bailing, everything is amazing (in great thanks to my brother)!

Anyway, on to the point of this post! My biggest little started SECOND GRADE this year! Holy Moly where has time gone?!

Friends over the years!

Aiden: Last day of first grade!

This dude! From sight words last year to chapter books this year.... He is simply a growing machine! Not to mention pretty amazing at football as well!

And our yearly funny face collage continues....

End of first grade.

End of Kindergarten.

End of preschool.

I cannot believe in a week and a half this kid will be seven. My goodness, time flies when you are having fun & as busy as it gets!

Luke: Last day of preschool!

I cannot believe my little Luke man finished his first year of preschool. He has grown up so fast!

First day of school: 2016

A few things.... 1) I am in serious denial my Lukey-bear is in preschool. Like, SERIOUS. 2) I accepted a full time position and I am probably going to turn into a crappy blogger now. I promise to give it my best effort, but you know... bills.

Aiden started first grade. He wants to be a "zombie hunter." A few days later in his moment of terror, our conversation went something like this...

Aiden: Mom, are there real zombies?
Me: No, there isn't, stop worrying about that.
Aiden: Then WHY did I say I wanted to be a zombie hunter?
Me: .........
Me: I do not know.
Aiden: Oh.

And then, there is my Luke. This kid has a serious special place in my heart. Well, all of my kids do, but Luke is so sweet and so sensitive. He tells me every day how much he loves me, how much he loves his coaches and teachers, and tells me I am beautiful. He is seriously something else. He started preschool and wants to be a "builder" when he grows up!

He went in just fine and loved it. He is so different than Aiden, who punched his teacher many times the first time I dropped him off because he didn't want to go! My little sweet heart!
