Six year wedding anniversary.

I have been waiting to write a post like this one since we started trying to have babies. I have seen all of these ideas all over pinterest, and with two boys I was never able to do something like this. I am drowning myself in all the girly goodness that I can before she turns into the tomboy she will likely be with two older brothers.

Six years ago today....

In the last year, we have...

Found out we were having a baby girl....

Visited zoo lights for the first time...

Went to Zac Brown Band at Fiddler's...

Berto turned 30 in Las Vegas...

Became and Uncle and an Aunt....

Traveled abroad to Mexico....

Watched our oldest little man graduate from pre-school....

Welcomed our first daughter....

Watched Aiden turn five...

Saw him in his first play...

Had a lot of snowball fights...

Visited Boulder a few times...

Watched Bama turn eight!

Had Leila's first hospital visit...

.... and watched two of our best friends get married! 

And lastly, a new yearly tradition...

My daughter in my wedding dress. She is pure love. It has been the best six years of my life, that is for sure! 

Five Years.

Today marks five years of being married to the love of my life. He is the most compassionate, loving, and selfless person I have ever met. I thank my lucky stars every day our love story worked out.

I thought I would answer a couple of questions about us as a couple!

1.  When was your engagement anniversary? November 8, 2007

2.  When is your wedding anniversary? July 31, 2009

3.  How long have your known your partner? We met in high school, but did not start hanging out until 2004. 

4.  How long did you date before you were engaged? Two and a half years. 

5.  Where did you meet your partner for the first time? At his high school girlfriends house, who was also my good friend's older sister. 

6.  What is your partner's full name? Roberto

7.  Do you have any children yet? Yes, two. 

8.  How many boys/girls? Two boys. 

9.  Do you have any house pets? Yes, Bama, a chocolate labrador. 

10.  Do you live in the country or in the city? Suburbs. 

11.  Do you own a house or rent? Own, hence the blog. 

12.  How many siblings (including in-laws) do you have? I have a brother. I also have three sister-in-laws. 

13.  Do you work or stay at home? Stay at home. 

14.  What town is your current address at? Suburbs of Denver.

15.  Where did you go on your honeymoon? Waikiki on Oahu

16.  Where were you married? The Inverness Hotel and Golf Club

17. Where was your first date? Cheesecake Factory in Boulder, Colorado. 

18.  What sort of fun things do you like to do as a couple? Watching movies, hanging out with friends, vacationing, day trips to the beautiful mountains, and shop.

Funny story of the day....

For some reason our smoke alarm outside of the Master bathroom is extremely sensitive! Which we are happy it detects so easily, not so happy that it detects the tiny amount of warmth that comes from the bathroom when someone is showering....

Today while showering, I forgot to shut the door to the bathroom and turn the fan on, and low and behold, the smoke alarm goes off! All I hear is beeping, then some sort of chaotic crash, more crash, and more crash.... so I look out of the shower, and all I see is my husband's head as he said "F*&^%^% Fence!!" By fence, he meant the baby gate which keeps Aiden out of our bedroom! After he slammed the door, blew a towel in front of the smoke detector, I could not help but laugh hysterically while finishing my shower. I hate to laugh at my husband's demise, but it was hilarious! He had literally tripped over the gate and fallen on his face into the bathroom....
