Oh so close!

Every day I get so excited to go see our house. But I am such a worry wart and just want to hear the final "YES" that our loan is out of underwriting. Maybe I am the only one worried when buying a house that something will come crashing down, but I have been through it and really don't feel like being homeless! So.. ugh. We have to wait until 10 days out from closing for employment verification and that is close to the final step of underwriting. That day happens to be Tuesday - so hopefully we will hear shortly after that! Keep your fingers, toes, and eyes crossed for us - I can't handle any more heart ache!

  • I love this picture. We were just talking in the kitchen and we didn't hear Aiden. As we went around the corner, this is what we saw. This is his future playroom and we have told him that many times. I wonder what his little brain was thinking - was he imagining this room as much as we have? He is such an adorable kid!

This house is livable - minus the shower wall and not having a refrigerator! It is much cleaner and so close to being inhabited! We are too excited for words and should be in our new home in two weeks from today!

    1. Hi Caitlin! I'm so glad I stumbled on to your blog, my husband and I are first time home builders in Colorado and are just now in the drywall stage. It's fun to see your progress pics and know how much fun we're in for! We're building in Colorado too! Hey, question, do you know what the tile is called in your kitchen backsplash? I LOVE it! That is one piece we're not upgrading because we're going to DIY it. I'd love it if you shared the info on that :) Take care! 2. Hi Jenny,
Our backsplash is a Silver Screen tumbled natural stone! The size of the tiles are 3" x 6" and we used a pewter colored grout! Thanks for checking out my blog - building can be so fun but frustrating at times too! I will definitely check out your blog and home progress - I love this stuff! Take care! - Caitlin
