Six year wedding anniversary.

I have been waiting to write a post like this one since we started trying to have babies. I have seen all of these ideas all over pinterest, and with two boys I was never able to do something like this. I am drowning myself in all the girly goodness that I can before she turns into the tomboy she will likely be with two older brothers.

Six years ago today....

In the last year, we have...

Found out we were having a baby girl....

Visited zoo lights for the first time...

Went to Zac Brown Band at Fiddler's...

Berto turned 30 in Las Vegas...

Became and Uncle and an Aunt....

Traveled abroad to Mexico....

Watched our oldest little man graduate from pre-school....

Welcomed our first daughter....

Watched Aiden turn five...

Saw him in his first play...

Had a lot of snowball fights...

Visited Boulder a few times...

Watched Bama turn eight!

Had Leila's first hospital visit...

.... and watched two of our best friends get married!

And lastly, a new yearly tradition...

My daughter in my wedding dress. She is pure love. It has been the best six years of my life, that is for sure!

Update: Front porch.

In the last month we were able to finally convince Richmond (our builder) to add railing to our front porch. In Colorado, the drop off code is 32.5 inches. Our drop was almost 36 inches. It was dangerous, especially with little kids. At first they were saying it was settling, but it wasn't, it had always been a huge drop off.

Here is the before and after:

Other than our flowers growing a lot, doesn't it look so much better? The whole porch now looks complete!

Notice the two dead plants, we are also trying to get Richmond to replace those since all they have ever given us are dead plants. We might just bite the bullet and replace them ourselves, but I don't want to let them win, because I know that is what they are banking on.

Leila: two months old!

I cannot believe my little peanut is already two months old, and growing like a weed. I am happy she is getting bigger, but also sad that this was my last full month off with her before my practicum starts and I will be gone 4 days a week (WAH!) I seriously am going to be a mess leaving her, and with Aiden starting Kindergarten, August is going to be a bundle of emotions!

July 29, 2015

Weight: 10 pounds, 15.2 ounces
Length: 22.5 inches

This little nugget is getting SO big! She switched from size one diapers to size two diapers. She is so long so she needs taller diapers and the size two work so much better! She is still in size 0-3 month clothing and they are starting to be "v-neck" because of how long she is, so she might be switching to 3 - 6 month jammies pretty soon!

Some nicknames we have for her are: Beadies, Leil-y, and Leggy-bug (Luke's name for lady bug)
Heath issues: Her reflux is still an issue, but it is getting better little by little. She also got a little cold this month but is on the mend.
Sleep: She has slept through the night three times. She is pretty inconsistent with her sleeping habits. Sometimes she sleeps nine hours and sometimes she sleeps three. We prefer the nine.
Diet: 100% nursing. She hates formula.
Baby gear love: Still loves her swing, bouncy chair, and Rock-n-Play. She also has been sitting in the Bumbo here and there.
Likes: loves being held, her swing, her little lovey-bunny, her wubba-nub, being bounced in her bouncy chair, smiling, cozy blankets
Dislikes: formula, being flat on her back, really loud noises

She is such a smiley and happy baby. Even when she wakes up far to early in the morning, she has the best smiles, so at least she makes it worth it!

Those eyelashes! ;)

Happy two months, Leila!
