End of the year: Teacher Gift!

I had to keep it cheap and simple this year for teacher gifts because Aiden has six (!) teachers. I thought what better way to kick of the summer than an ice cold passion tea!

I just got the scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby and used my 2" cutter to cut the shape, printed of the saying "Thanks for a Tea-rific year!" on regular paper and cut it into a circle! I used string to make it have a tea bag feel, wrote "love, Aiden" on the back side. The cups are from Kohls (Sonoma Brand) and they are BPA free and obviously reusable! I also filled them with crinkle paper and three passion tea bags!

What teacher gifts are you all doing this year?

Welcome to the front porch.

After the Colorado winter I finally got around to planting flowers with Aiden! I love the way they turned out and how our porch looks "home-y!"

We are in a constant phone war with our builder to get our front Lilacs replaced. One of them is rotting, and the other ones are just not as healthy as they should be at this point in the year... oh the joys of building!

I love the way the flowers and different colors have fallen into place this year! I love spring!

Coastal kids bathroom.

A few months ago I shared the plan for Aiden and Luke's coastal but fun bathroom. I finally got around to doing the project, which really wasn't too terribly difficult. It was a little time consuming, but overall it was easy! You can read a great tutorial of breadboard wallpaper application here!

And here is what the bathroom looked like when we moved in.

And my little decorating helper.... or he just likes to look at himself?!

This room has zero natural light so everything has a slight yellow tint to it. There are still a few things to be done, one is to find the cork that fell over in my car from the top middle jar. The second is to fix one of the pieces of wood in the corner... the problem to having so much scrap wood in your garage is you can easily grab the wrong width! (DANG IT!)

I love how this room turned out, and it looks so much bigger too!

Stairway decor.

I have been trying to find something I love that can help add some color and 'wall eye-candy' to our wall near our stairs. Right now it is completely blank, and boring. I thought I would go on a Pinterest hunt to find some ideas for the stairs!

(sorry - they are blurry!)

I love that light! I think it would fit in perfect in our tall entry way.... I am also thinking three very large botanical prints for our entry way. I think they can bring in so much color, and I would make the frames myself because poster size frames are incredibly expensive. Some of the botanical prints I like are...

I would try to find some matching green tones. I like how the yellow print ties the family room and kitchen accent color into the hallway.

I should be back to post photos of the finished boys bathroom tomorrow of Friday evening!

Things I am lovin' right now!

There are some things I have had my eye on for awhile, and I always go back to look at them because they are fantastic so I thought I would share them with you all!

1. Pottery Barn Striped Bath Towel. These are so my style, and they are on sale! I just love the way they look!

2. Pottery Barn Capiz Chandelier. One of my favorite bloggers has this chandelier over her amazing bath tub that looks out to a lake. Our bathroom looks at our neighbors house but I still don't think that will stop me from installing one over our bath tub!

3. Beadboard Wallpaper. You can see a bloggers transformation of her bathroom with this stuff here. It is just awesome!

4. Ray Bans. I just ordered these for myself! After 10 years I think it is about time I get new glasses. I finally caved and these are what I bought! Aiden told me "mommy, you look like a professor!" Lens Crafters carries them.

5. Target's Soy candle collection. Since getting older I get some pretty serious migraines. Now that I figured out that certain scents trigger my headaches, I switched to Soy Candles and love them! And you can use these as vases when you are finished.Just pop them in the freezer for a bit and the old wax will pop right out!

6. Young House Love hooks at Target

Well, that is all for now! I like creating my wish lists then finding a way to convince my husband we need these things! :)
